Target muscles
Aerobic endurance and pacing
Setup
Warm up with walking, easy jogging and relaxed strides on a clear route.
How to do it
Keep early efforts controlled; find a repeatable rhythm before trying to run fast after stations. Ease down for about five minutes. Record duration and effort; increase one variable at a time and allow recovery between hard sessions.
Why use it?
Develop repeatable movement for hybrid fitness racing. Start with technique before race-distance volume.
Common mistake
Turning every easy run into a hard effort or increasing distance and speed together.
Try an easier or different option
Walk–run intervals are the entry option; cycling can reduce impact but is not equivalent race practice.
Use the setup, movement, common mistake and easier option above. A selected external demonstration for this exact variation has not been added yet.
Exercise within a comfortable range. Stop if a movement causes pain.
