Setup
Practice unloaded lunges first, then a light stable bag; use a clear lane.
How to do it
Support the bag across both shoulders, alternate legs, touch the back knee gently and stand fully. Return slowly to the starting position. Keep breathing and stop if the movement causes pain.
Why use it?
Develop repeatable movement for hybrid fitness racing. Start with technique before race-distance volume.
Common mistake
Taking shuffle steps between lunges or losing balance to keep moving.
Try an easier or different option
Bodyweight or dumbbell reverse lunges reduce difficulty; they are supporting drills rather than race-standard practice.
Use the setup, movement, common mistake and easier option above. A selected external demonstration for this exact variation has not been added yet.
Exercise within a comfortable range. Stop if a movement causes pain.
