Aerobic capacity, trunk and upper-body endurance
Setup
Stand balanced with handles overhead; use a comfortable damper and practice easy strokes.
How to do it
Hinge slightly, drive handles down and return smoothly; avoid pulling only with your arms. Ease down for about five minutes. Record duration and effort; increase one variable at a time and allow recovery between hard sessions.
Why use it?
Develop repeatable movement for hybrid fitness racing. Start with technique before race-distance volume.
Common mistake
Rushing the return or rounding the back under fatigue.
Try an easier or different option
A rower or controlled band pulldown trains some supporting qualities but is not an equivalent race station.
Use the setup, movement, common mistake and easier option above. A selected external demonstration for this exact variation has not been added yet.
Exercise within a comfortable range. Stop if a movement causes pain.
